Sally Brown, MBA, OTR/L, CHT, is the director of therapy for BoulderCentre
for Orthopedics & Spine. Sally has been an occupational therapist
since 1992 and a certified hand therapist since 1997.
Sally began her career at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan working
with children with hand/thumb deformities, amputations, and burns and
earned her board certification in hand therapy at the University of Michigan
Hospital. Sally has served on the board of directors of the American Society
of Hand Therapists (ASHT) for two terms and received the Outstanding Committee
Member Award and the President’s Gold Award from the society. She
has been published twice in cooperation with ASHT.
Sally specializes in low-temperature splint fabrication, scar management,
tendon rehabilitation, and all upper extremity injuries from the shoulder
to the fingertips. Sally is certified by Stanford University as an Empowered
Relief instructor helping patients to better understand pain, gain pain
relief skills, and create a personal plan for their own pain relief.
