Dr. Carter has been a hospitalist since 2004. He is board certified in
internal medicine.
Dr. Carter came to BCH from the University of Colorado at Denver School
of Medicine, where he was an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Director
of the Medicine Consult Service. He developed that service and the medicine
consult curriculum for residents.
A graduate of Colby College in Maine, Dr. Carter earned his medical degree
from Tufts University, where he won the Louis Weinstein Prize for Academic
Achievement in Internal Medicine. He completed his internship and residency
at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Carter
has lectured at regional and local medical conferences and published several
articles in scholarly journals.
