Dr. Doucet has been practicing in the Boulder area since 2000. He is board
certified in both cardiology and interventional cardiology. He completed
his training at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Heart Institute in Houston,
one of the premier heart centers in the US. He was awarded the position
of Chief Cardiology Fellow during his final year of training and was chosen
by his peers and attending physicians as the Outstanding Fellow of his
graduating class.
Dr. Doucet performs balloon angioplasty, stent placement, intravascular
ultrasound and pacemaker/defibrillator implantation. He also specializes
in nuclear cardiology and peripheral vascular disease. He is one of only
a few physicians in the area trained in using the Fox Hollow atherectomy
device to treat peripheral artery occlusions.
Dr. Doucet is very interested in the prevention of coronary artery disease
and has a patient-oriented approach that is tailored to the specific needs
of each individual. He and his patients work together in a team effort
to reduce cardiovascular risk through education, lifestyle modification,
and pharmacological intervention.
