Dr. Morrissey is a board certified Otolaryngologist. He received his doctorate
of medicine from the University of Colorado, Denver in 1994. He went on
to complete his residency in 1999 from the Oregon Health Science University
in Portland. He joined the staff of Boulder Valley Ear, Nose, and Throat
in 2000. He has been a member of the Cancer Committee, Medical Executive
Committee, and served as Chief of Surgery at Boulder Community Hospital
from 2004 -2006, and Avista Hospital from 2007-2010. He currently serves
as president of the Foothills Surgery Center in Boulder. Dr. Morrissey
treats both adult and pediatric patients. His interests include general
Otolaryngology, diagnosis and treatment of voice disorders, thyroid and
parathyroid surgery, sinus procedures, and treatment of cancer of the
head and neck. Dr. Morrissey has years of experience with balloon sinuplasty,
eustachian tube dilation and reduction of the nasal turbinates both in
office and in the operating room. When not in the office, Dr. Morrissey
enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. Dr. Morrissey
is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys spending time hiking, mountain biking
and river rafting. He is also an avid fisherman and has never been on
a fishing trip he didn’t love.
