Provider Bio
A Michigan native, Dr. McNamara earned his medical degree from Michigan
State University’s College of Human Medicine in Grand Rapids, MI,
after earning a BS in Biology from the University of Richmond in Virginia.
After completing his OB/GYN residency training at the top-ranked University
of Wisconsin in Madison in 2015, he moved to Colorado and he built a busy
practice south of Denver focused on OB/pregnancy care and complex gynecologic surgery.
As a caring, board-certified obstetrician who's focused on listening
to patients, Dr. McNamara wholeheartedly supports a natural, holistic,
patient-centered approach to pregnancy and childbirth.
He also provides valuable expertise in much-needed GYN surgical specialties.
Not only does he offer specialized advanced training in common surgeries
such as hysterectomy, but also with the innovative Da Vinci Robotic Surgery
System and a range of treatments to address pelvic-floor weakness, prolapse,
and associated issues such as pain and incontinence. Pelvic problems are
an extremely common and undertreated condition in women of all ages.
When he's not caring for patients, Dr. McNamara is an avid cyclist,
trail runner, and yogi. He loves music and spending time in and around
Colorado’s mountains. His practice recently transitioned to Boulder,
his chosen home, where he and his girlfriend work second jobs raising
goats and managing a ranch. And yes, that means every spring he delivers
as many little goat “kids” as human ones.
