Provider Bio
Laura is a Boulder native and grew up in a family that greatly appreciated
the outdoors. Laura received her undergraduate degree in Biology from
Colorado State University in Fort Collins with the goal of eventually
attending physical therapy school. After a year of athletic endeavors,
overseas travel and work, Laura began the physical therapy program at
Washington University in St. Louis Missouri and graduated in 1992 with
a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy.
Laura’s passion for the outdoors and family ties brought her back
to Colorado where she has been practicing Physical Therapy for 28 years
primarily in private outpatient orthopedic practices. Laura has always
looked to advance her skills, and in 1999, completed her manual therapy
certification through the University of St. Augustine in Florida. Additionally,
Laura obtained her Stott Pilates certification focusing on rehabilitation.
Laura utilizes her knowledge of manual techniques and countless continuing
education classes to treat sports-related and non sports-related injuries
of spine and extremities across all age groups. Laura is well versed in
exercise/ sports progression as well as Pilates-based core stabilization
programs allowing her to treat a wide variety of diagnosis. Laura lives
with her husband, two active teenage children and their rescue Labrador
Banjo. In her free time, Laura enjoys long trail runs, telemark skiing,
hiking/backpacking and being a spectator at her kid’s soccer games.
